Women's Golf Take Home First Place at the Sandhills Fall Intercollegiate

The SMC women’s golf team competed in the Sandhills Intercollegiate over September 25-26. The Pioneers came out on top with a team score of 701. Sophomore Lindsey Greene led the team with a two-day total of 155 (76, 79), to place first individually. Joy Outhous carded rounds of 81 and 82, earning her a second place finish. Freshmen Sophie Smith and Melanie Meredith rounded out third and fourth places individually. The Pioneers will tee up again on October 23 & 24 to defend their title at the Atomic City Classic hosted by Roane State Community College.
