Two Wrestlers Ranked in Latest NJCAA Polls

Spartanburg, SC - Two pioneers are ranked in the latest NJCAA Polls as we head into the 2019 NJCAA National Wrestling Championships which will be held at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA on March 1st and 2nd. 125lber Tramon Jenkins (Beaufort, SC) is a ranked number 1 in the country, and Caleb Spears is ranked 8th in the country at 174lbs. Overall SMC sits at 9th in the NJCAA as a team. Tramon who is a returning All-American at a weight class above (133) last year also goes into the national tournament as the number 1 seed in his weight class with an overall record of 31-4. He is 10-0 against junior college competition. Caleb Spears (Rutherfordton, NC) has an overall record of 23-8, and is 9-2 against junior college competition. Caleb will come into the national tournament as the 6th seed.

Other Pioneers in the mix at the National Championships will be 141lber Loye Burkhead (Moncks Corner, SC), Loye will come in as the 8th seed in his bracket after winning the NE District II Championships. 157lber Victor Tello (Greer, SC), 165lber JD Harrelson (Goose Creek, SC) and 197lber Cooper Kaminsky (Beaufort, SC) will also be looking to make some noise in their perspective brackets at the National Tournament.
