Pioneers Held Region X Championship
Spartanburg, SC - Spartanburg Methodist College wrestled their first Region X Championship match at home Friday, January 17, 2020. The Pioneers came out victorious on the evening, beating Southwest Virginia Community College with a score of 27-22. Thomas Schock came out with a huge win for the Pioneers, bumping up from the 157lb weight class to the 165lb weight class. Schock secured the win and the dual for the Pioneers, by getting a pin in under 2 minutes within the match.
The SMC Wrestling team will travel to McHenry, MD for a Tri-Meet on January 25th, 2020, where they will wrestle against Garrett College and Thaddeus Stevens. Start time for the duals will be at 2:00pm, watch and follow live at https://www.youtube.com/user/GarrettCollege.
