SMC Wrestling competed in First Home Duel

Spartanburg SC- Spartanburg Methodist College competed in their first home duals of the year. The Pioneers came out 1-1 on the night as they beat, Truett McConnell 25-21 and losing to Queens University 41-12.

Adam Dehart (197lber) came through with a dual deciding win when he got the major decision over Truett’s Khalil Belk to secure the win for the Pioneers. Thomas Schock and Shylik Scriven got big wins over Division II Queens University at 157 and 165lbs, scoring back to back pins for the Pioneers.

SMC Wrestling will head to Millersville, PA for the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Open on January 11, 2020, where they will face top Division I and Division II competition.
