Women's Soccer wraps up Region X Regular Season Championship and #1 seed

RALEIGH, NC- The 19th ranked Lady Pioneers Soccer team took to the road to take on Wake Tech Community College on Saturday afternoon.  

The ladies came out with a convincing 6-0 win to finish the regular season with an overall record of 16-1 and a Region record of 11-1. Kacee Merritt (Cayce, SC) led the way with two goals, one at the three minute mark and one at the 55th minute,  Merritt also added an assist.  Sara Dorsett (Travelers Rest, SC) scored at the 35th minute and added two assists. Khalila Hargrave (Anderson, SC) scored at the 19th minute and added one assist. Also scoring were Kayla McMillian (Spartanburg, SC) at the 14th minute and Madison Salters (Columbia, SC) at the 30th minute. Ciera Smith added an assist.

It was the tenth shutout of the season and 12th consecutive win. The Lady Pioneers take home the regular season title and will be the number one seed in the Region X Tournament next weekend at Louisburg College.
