Lady Pioneers get back on track with 8-0 win
ALLENDALE, SC., The Lady Pioneer Soccer team won 8-0 against USC-Salkehatchie on Wednesday afternoon in Allendale, SC. The team was led by sophomore Sara Dorsett (Travelers Rest, SC), Dorsett had three goals and two assist.
Freshman Cyarah Wilson (Summerville, SC) opened up the scoring with goals at the 6th and 7th minutes. Wilson assisted on one of Dorsett's goals. Freshman Kaela Mansell (Columbia, SC) scored her first collegiate goal chipping the keeper from 20 yards out. Sophomore Cierra Smith (Columbia, SC) scored her second goal of the season redirecting a cross from freshman Sara Richardson (Greer, SC). Sophomore Khalila Hargrave (Anderson, SC) finished off the scoring with a great finish from 25 yards out. The goal was assisted by Destini Richardson (Laurens, SC).
Also having an assist was Heather Blaszak (Summerville, SC).
Goalkeepers Anna Litchfield (Summerville, SC) and Lara Jackson (Laurens, SC) combined for the first shutout of the season.
