Lady Pioneers get quality win over Patrick Henry 8-3

SPARTANBURG, SC., The Lady Pioneers Soccer team earned their third win of the season by out scoring Patrick Henry Community College 8-3 on Tuesday evening. Sophomore forward, Sara Dorsett (Travelers Rest, SC) scored three goals and had one assist. The goals were scored at the 2nd, 11th, and 55th minutes. Fellow sophomore, defender Cierra Smith (Columbia, SC) also scored three goals and had one assist all coming on overlapping runs from the back. Smith's goals were at the 13th, 22nd and 41st minutes. The Pioneers led PHCC 5-1 at halftime. Forward Cyarah Wilson (Summerville, SC) scored just 31 seconds into the second half to increase the lead to 6-1.

Rounding out the scoring for SMC was forward Kayla McMillian (Spartanburg, SC) at the 60th minute. Lexi Garcia (Greenville, SC) had three assist, Kaela Mansell (Columbia, SC) had two assist and Heather Blaszak (Summerville, SC) also had an assist. 

SMC (3-5, 3-2) will host Wake Technical CC on Saturday. Game time is 2:00pm
