Lady Pioneers win 5-0, earn third win in a row

SPARTANBURG, SC., The Lady Pioneers (5-5, 5-2 )won their third game in a row with their second consecutive shutout against USC-Salkehatchie on Wednesday afternoon.  Cyarah Wilson (Summerville, SC) opened the scoring 18 minutes into the game putting in a shot from 20 yards out. Lexi Garcia (Greenville, SC) had the assist on the goal splitting the defenders with a pass to Cyarah. Sarah Dorsett scored two of the next three goals, both of her goals came off crosses and finishing with volley's. Dorsett's first goal was assisted by Wilson at the 27th minute and her second goal was at the 64th minute assisted by Kayla McMillian (Spartanburg, SC).  The third goal of the game was scored by Lexi Garcia at the 42nd minute and assisted by Heather Blaszak (Summerville, SC). The final goal was scored by Jennifer Aceves (Greenville,SC) assisted by Lara Jackson (Laurens, SC) at the 75th minute.  Anna Litchfield (Summerville, SC) had the shutout in goal.

The Pioneers game at Louisburg this weekend has been rescheduled. SMC will hit the road on Tuesday as they travel to Martinsville, Virginia to face off with Patrick Henry Community College at 5:30pm
