Women's Soccer loses to #13 Cape Fear CC

The Lady Pioneers had a tough loss against the #13 team in the country, Cape Fear CC. The final score was 4-2. The Lady Pioneers got on the board first with a goal from freshman Elizabeth McGee (Columbia, SC) 10 minutes into the game of a cross from Sophomore Brittany Heri (Charleston, SC). Cape Fear scored the next two goals in the 26th and 28th minutes. The Lady Pioneers were able to equalize in the 40th minute when Heri ripped a shot past the Cape Fear keeper from 20 yards out. The goal was assisted by freshman Morgan Vega (Summerville, SC).

Despite several chances in the second half the Lady Pioneers were not able to capitalize and Cape Fear was able to put two more goals away. The Lady Pioneers fall to 1-2 and 1-1 in the Region.
