Women's Soccer Tie with Wake Tech

The Lady Pioneers opened their Region play at home against Wake Tech CC. After two overtimes, the game finished in a 1-1 tie. The Lady Pioneers scored in the 22^nd minute with a goal scored by sophomore Heather Turner from Gaston, SC. The assist was a great pass by freshman Madison Stewart from Florence, SC. Wake Tech CC equalized with five minutes left in the game on a penalty kick. The game remained tied through the overtime. SMC overall record is 1-0-1 and in Region play it is 0-0-1.
