Makinnley Smart Named CAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spartanburg Methodist College junior Makinnley Smart was named the Continental Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week on Monday. Smart and the Pioneers are in its first year as a four-year program and a member of the NAIA. Smart started her career with SMC by having 65 kills and a .216 hitting percentage across the first nine matches. The Hardin, Texas, native reached double-digit kills in three of those matches, with 10 kills and five blocks in a four-set triumph last Saturday against Brenau University (Georgia). Smart is averaging 2.17 kills per set this season.
