Women's Cross Country has good day in Alabama
The men's cross country team traveled to Tucaloosa, AL to compete in the Alabama Crimson Tide XC Classic. Of the 35 teams in attendance, the men's team was one of five teams that was not a NCAA Div I program. The team finished in 4th place of those five teams and had a subpar performance for the day.
The top finishers on the men's team were Logan Miller, Joel Mercaldo, and Kole Koterba crossing the line on the 8k course in the mid 29's. Brad Daniels was the fouth runner who crossed the line for the pioneers with a solid race experience.
The women's team had a very solid race overall. With the Alabama Classic being their first 6k race of the year, they made the adjustments in the race itself and still had a solid race. Italia Jones, Ali Bennett, and Andrea Liddell lead the way for the girls team with mid 24's finishes. Jodyn Gilmore and Hayley Singletay finished not too far off their normal pace with a 4th and 5th team position. The girls team finished 4th of 5 teams with the non NCAA Div I teams racing.
Next up for the team in the Region X Championship in Louisburg, NC on 10/22 at 9:00am.
