Women’s Soccer Suffers Loss On The Road

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 0-2 in conference play, 0-3 overall after traveling to Spartanburg Methodist College less than a week from their previous meeting.

The Pioneers were hot early scoring in the 4^th and 6^th minute into the game. Spartanburg added one additional tally in the 43^rd minute to take a 3-0 lead at the half. Heading into the second half, the Statesmen locked down defensively and would not allow another score by the Pioneers. Angie Finnerty and Kylie Jackson had one shot each for Richard Bland. Tiffany Hargett was credited with 14 saves through 90 minutes of play.

The Richard Bland women's soccer team has a quick turnaround and will travel to Patrick Henry Community College on Saturday, September 10^th for an evening match. The game will be played at Smith River Sports Complex, Field #5 at 7pm.
