SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 3-0 in conference play and overall after hosting Spartanburg Methodist College in the home opener of the 2022 season.
On Saturday afternoon Richard Bland took an early lead and never looked back. Raquan Bryant struck first in the 20th minute to put the Statesmen ahead 1-0. Eight minutes later, Duarte Veigas Mendes found the back of the net to seal the win for the green and white. The score would remain 2-0 through regulation. Cristian Rodriguez was credited with six saves through 90 minutes of play.
The Richard Bland men's soccer team next hosts Louisburg College on Tuesday, September 6th for a nonconference matchup. Kickoff is set for 3pm.
