Dolphins Drop Home Game In Overtime On Buzzer Beater To Spartanburg Methodist College

For the second time in a week the Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketball lost a hard fought game as time expired. On Sunday the Dolphins fell to Spartanburg Methodist College 93-91 in overtime when a missed shot by Spartanburg was tipped in as time expired. The Dolphins missed an opportunity for the season sweep of the visiting Pioneers as they won the first meeting in Spartanburg in January. The Dolphins were led by Kevon Vanderhorst with 19 points and 10 assists, Jaleb Grant with 19 points, Cam Oates with 17 points nine rebounds and seven assists, Tyre Boykin with 13 points and Tyree Bracey with 12 points. Earlier in the week the Dolphins fell to nationally ranked #17 Caldwell CC when they hit a bank shot from 25 feet as the buzzer sounded. Caldwell has clinched first place and the two losses this week drop the Dolphins into a half a game out of second place behind Wake Tech CC with three conference games remaining. The next game for the Dolphins is 7:00 pm at home on Wednesday night versus Cape Fear CC who trails the Dolphins in fourth place. The BCC women will celebrate Sophomore Night on Wednesday in their 5:00 pm game versus Fayetteville Tech.
