
Four PRs and a New School Record for SMC Women's Track and Field at Tornado Classic
The Spartanburg Methodist College women's track and field team set four personal records (PRs) and a school record at the Tornado Classic, hosted by Brevard College on Friday.
Sophia Outhous set a new school record with the 25th-fastest time of the season, winning the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.91.
Da'Sani Kinlaw led a trio of SMC sprinters in the 100m and 200m dashes. She was one of three Pioneers to post a PR in the 200m, finishing eighth with a time of 27.54. Teammates Diamond Croft (27.84) and Tierrany Jeter (28.29) also set PRs. Kinlaw finished fourth in the 100m (13.28), Jeter placed sixth (13.34), and Croft finished eighth (13.62). The trio, along with anchor leg Polly Addington, took seventh in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:45.17.
Averi Vance set a season best in the 1500m run, finishing with a time of 5:51.87.
