The Pioneers went 3-1 at the Sandhills Invitational. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the team only had 9 players which means they automatically forfeited the 5s pair. 

Friday started out with a 4-1 win against the host team Sandhills. The Pioneers then played Bob Jones for the third time this season. With wins in the 1s (Laura Lietzke/ Taylor Reilly) 2s (Mackenzie MacIntosh/ Meghan Scharpenberg) and the 4s pair (KayDee Runion/ Sidney Russell), the Pioneers clinched the dual against the Bruins. 

Saturday started off against Bob Jones again. It was originally scheduled against Richard Bland, but they dropped out. With some pair switches, the Bruins capitalized and won in the 3-5s pair. The Pioneers 1s and 2s pair still won their matchup but SMC lost 2-3. 

The last matchup of the weekend was against the Sandhill Flyers again. With hustle from both teams through the lineup, the Pioneers won 4-1. 

Next weekend the team hosts Erskine, Sandhills, and Gaston College at the Upward Star Center.
