SPARTANBURG, SC., Men's basketball played for the second consecutive night on Tuesday evening in Bridges Arena and earned their second win of the year by defeating 22 Feet Academy 85-53.
Marquise Simuels (Columbia, SC / AC Flora High) led SMC (2-0) with 20 points and 13 rebounds as he recorded back to back double doubles. Malik Gaffney (Gaffney, SC / Blacksburg High) had 17 points, Freshman, Armani Hill (Rock Hill, SC / Northwestern High) scored 14 points and Josh Council (Camden, SC / Camden High) added 9 points.
The Pioneers are back in action Thursday night at 7:30pm for their first away game against Forrest Trail Academy. SMC will return to Bridges Arena on Monday as they host Walters State Community College.
