Lady Pioneers Pound the Tigers

The SMC women’s basketball team got off to a quick start in the first quarter and never looked back in their convincing win over Brenau University (JV) 98-38. Three players scored in double figures for the Pioneers. Yasmine Cook had 17, Jaidah Liebert with 16 and Destiny Middleton with 14. Layla Wall led the team in assists with 8, while Grace Ikenegbu led rebounding with 11. The Pioneers will be back in action Wednesday and Thursday night at Bridges Arena.
