Lady Pioneers Bring Home Second in the Johnson & Wales Spring Invitational

The Pioneers Women’s Golf team teed it up at Cramer Mountain Golf Club on Monday & Tuesday for the Johnson & Wales Spring Invitational. SMC finished second overall, behind Paine College who won the event. Sophomores Joy Outhous and Lindsey Greene placed second and third individually, with a two-day totals of 173 (88, 85) and 174 (87, 87), respectively. This tournament also had a two-man team competition, which Outhous and Greene won by one stroke over Paine College’s Ashley Michel and Taya Buxton. The Pioneers return to the course April 22-23 for the District 5 Championship hosted by Daytona State in Palm Coast, FL.
