Traylor's Pitching Leads SMC to Split with Richard Bland

Sunday's games against Richard Bland College ended on a good note beating the Statesmen 6-3 with dominate pitching. Freshman pitcher Charlsy Traylor lead the way in the second game with 8 strikeouts and only allowed 4 hits. Traylor is now 7-6 with 1 Save.
Richard Bland pitching staff held the pioneers until the 6th inning when Brooke Moore led the inning with a walk. The next two batters for SMC would reach on walks when clean up hitter Emma Williams hit a single to left getting the pioneers their first run for the day. Following up Emma Williams RBI single Elizabeth Bunton and Elizabeth Josey each had 2 RBI doubles bringing the pioneers to a 6-3 victory.
The lady pioneers will play again Wednesday March 21st against Walters State beginning at 2pm.
