Lady Pioneers Tennis Struggles Against Emmanuel

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA- The SMC men's tennis team posted its first win of the season this past weekend with a 5-4 win over Emmanuel College, while the women's team still struggled to get a foothold on the season.

Freshman Pedro Cruz's 6-2, 6-4 win over Emmanuel's Who Hang clinched the match for the Pioneers.

The SMC women (0-3) posted an 0-9 game against Emmanuel.

The SMC tennis teams are on the road this weekend in Conyers, GA; the men play Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday and both teams play Oxford of Emory on Sunday.

Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 99th year of providing quality education to students in a Christian environment.  More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
