A Day in the Life of SMC Women's Cross Country

A Day in the Life of SMC Women's Cross Country

Waking up at 5:30 AM seems like a daunting task for most people, but for cross country runners we know it as normal. Some of us have been faithfully running this sport since our early middle school days. This morning we were at Camp Croft, on the southside trails, at 6:30am sharp. I’ve never run there but it was a wonderful experience. The trails were a little rough, as some were made out of gravel, which is no shock for veteran runners but not so great for the inexperienced. As we kept running, they flattened out into dirt. Our workout today was 45 minutes, just a fun run to explore trials we’ve never run before. I can definitely say all of us enjoyed the trails, and I personally, will run there again on my own.
