SMC Defeats USC-Salkehatchie 73-67

SMC Defeats USC-Salkehatchie 73-67

Spartanburg, SC - The Pioneers struggled during the start of the game against USC-Salkehatchie giving up almost half of the Indians total points in the first quarter alone. "The worst first half of a ball game all season," says Coach Clark. The Pioneers went into halftime down 14 points but came out alive outscoring USC-Salkehatchie 24-11 in the 3rd quarter. The game came down to the wire shooting free throws, where the Pioneers made 3 of 5 to secure the 73-67 win over the lady Indians. Jasmine Oglesby was huge for the Pioneers contributing a double double in points and rebounds.  "Jasmine came up with big rebounds in big moments to help see us through the 4th quarter," Coach Clark added.
