Pioneer Wrestlers drop two

The SMC wrestling team lost to Brewton Parker 39-9 in the first match of the day, but wrestled tougher against St. Andrews losing 25-18.

Winning both matches on the day for the Pioneers were DeAndre Johnson and John Allen Griswold.

The Pioneers will compete in their last home match of the season on January 25th against Truett McConnell.

"We are looking to get healthy and get our starting lineup back to where it was. We have been competing the past 3 weeks without 4 of our 10 starters and have been taking some lumps. I'm very pleased with the effort shown from my young team, especially from heavyweight John Allen Griswold who dominated an NAIA returning all American 6-2 on Saturday in route to finishing undefeated for the day. If we get our lineup back and continue to work hard, we have a great shot at finishing the season with the best dual meet record in school history heading into our nation qualifying tournament." stated Coach Sater.
