SMC continued their hot hitting by sweeping USC Lancaster today 10-1 in both games. Madison Burnett (Pickens, SC) and Casey Whitaker (Spartanburg, SC) each picked up a win. Burnett allowed one run while striking out six. Whitaker allowed one run whith three strikeouts. SMC has outscored their opponents 36-9 over the past four games.
Kinsey Parrish (Silver Bluff, SC) led the Pioneers on the day going 5-5 with three doubles. Kelli Shealy (Gilbert, SC) hit her 5th homerun of the season and collected four walks.
SMC moves to 13-9 overall and 4-0 in Region X play. The Pioneers travel to Allendale, SC this weekend for a four game Region X matchup.
