How to get to SMC:
From Columbia, SC:
Take I-26 West to Exit 21-B
From Greenville, SC:
Take I-85 N to I-26 East to Exit 21-B
From Charlotte, NC:
Take I-85 S to I-26 East to Exit 21-B
From Asheville, NC:
Take I-26 East to Exit 21-B
Exit 21-B puts you on Highway 29. Proceed to the 5th red light, turn left onto Powell Mill Road. SMC is approximately 1½ miles on the right.
Getting to Bridges Arena / Athletic Offices:
- Turn right at the blue SMC West Campus entrance sign, onto Powell Mill Road.
- You will pass a series of parking lots and buildings.
- Turn left onto Lester Kingman Drive
- Turn into the second parking lot on your right. That parking lot is immediately adjacent to Bridges Arena.

Getting to our Administration / Admissions Offices:
- As you are approaching campus, you will pass a blue SMC sign at our West campus entrance.
- Continue past that sign and turn right at the next entrance on to campus, at the stone sign at George Fields Drive.
- You will see a beige brick building with a glassed front. This is the Buchheit Administration Building. This building houses the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices and is where you will need to report when you visit.
- Please enter through the front lobby and inform the receptionist of the purpose of your visit.
