Bolin Leads SMC Men's Golf on Day One of ALC Invitational

Cohutta, Ga. - The Spartanburg Methodist College men's golf team has sent two teams and two individuals to wrap up the fall with the ALC Invitational.

The Pioneers "A" squad – AJ Bolin, Andrew Walker, Preston Carr, Tucker Simon and Bryson Paris - shot a round of 308, just six strokes back of Tusculum, who leads the 12-team field.

The Pioneers are led by the play of AJ Bolin, who shot a one-under par 71 in Monday's opening round. Bolin is one stroke back of Duncan Howie of Point. Andrew Walker is tied for 13^th after posting a 77 (+5) and Preston Carr is in a share of 15^th after posting a 78 (+6) to put three in the top 20. To round out the lineup, Tucker Simon posted an 82 (+10) and shares 26^th and Bryson Paris carded an 83 (+11) to share 35^th to round out the SMC "A" squad.
