
Pioneers Take Second at The Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout
Spartanburg Methodist College sophomore Parker Harrigan shot a final-round 69 (-3) for a 36-hole total of 145 (+1, 76-69), leading the Pioneers to a second-place team finish at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout.
Harrigan's 69 in the final round was the second-lowest score in the field during the 36-hole, one-day tournament. The Fort Mill, S.C., native posted seven birdies over 36 holes, including six in the final 18, securing a third place finish and a spot on the all-tournament team.
As a team, SMC shot 605 (311-294), tying for first place with host Milligan. The team title was ultimately decided by a tiebreaker. The Pioneers' 294 in the final 18 holes was the lowest team score in the field.
Francisco DeBethencourt of Milligan won the individual title with a three-under-par 141 (74-67).
For the Pioneers, A.J. Bolin finished in the top 10, tying for ninth place with a 152 (+8, 77-75). Teammates Lane Carr and Andrew Walker tied for 20th with a 156 (+12). Bryson Paris finished in a tie for 36th with a 160 (+16, 79-81).
