Bolin and Carr Lead SMC in Opening Round of Trailblazer Spring Invitational

Spartanburg Methodist College freshman Lane Carr and sophomore AJ Bolin each shot a round of 79 (+7) to lead the Pioneers men's golf team in the opening round of the Trailblazer Spring Invitational on Monday. Carr and Bolin each recorded a birdie on the front nine for the Pioneers.

Next for SMC, Parker Harrigan shot an 82 (+10), while Andrew Walker carded an 83 (+11). Bryson Paris, the fifth golfer in the SMC lineup, also recorded an 83 (+11). Competing as individuals, Tripp Darwin and David Harrigan each shot an 84 (+12).

As a team, SMC is tied for seventh with Milligan after posting a 323 (+35).

Justus Verge of Palm Beach Atlantic holds a three-stroke lead at -2 in the individual standings. NCAA Division II Palm Beach Atlantic leads the team competition with a score of 299 (+11), holding a four-stroke advantage over the field.
