SMC Women's Golf Tees Off at Atomic City Classic

Oak Ridge, Tenn. - The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team began play at the Atomic City Classic on Monday.

Gracelyn Toler led the Pioneers with an 87 in the opening round with a birdie on No. 14. Toler is in 16th place in the 43-person field. Teammate Isabella Marz shot a 95 and is in 33rd, next for SMC is Melanie Meredith, who also shot a 95 and is in 33rd with Marz. Meredith recorded a birdie on the No. 5 during her round. The fourth golfer in the SMC lineup is newcomer Layla VanAernem, who posted a score of 135.
