
SMC Women's Golf Plays Opening Round at The 2025 Emmanuel Spring Invite
Hartwell, Georgia – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team played its opening round of The 2025 Emmanuel Spring Invite on Monday as they posted a team score of 394 (+106) and are in 12th place in a field full of competition across college golf.
SMC is led by the play of Adeline Todd, who shot a team-best 92 (+20). Todd closed out her first collegiate round with five-over par play on the back nine to lead the Pioneers. Two strokes back of Todd is Isabella Marz, who posted a 94 (+22).
Next for SMC is Gracelyn Toler, who shot a 96, who had four pars in her round. The final golfer for the Pioneers, Melanie Meredith carded the only birdie day for SMC on No. 16 posted a score of 110 (+38).
NCAA Division II member Mississippi College leads the tournament by seven strokes with a 305. Ashlynd Madden leads the field and the Choctaws by one stroke with a 73 (+1).
