SMC Women's Golf Begins 2024-25 Season

Results

St. Simons Island, Ga. – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's golf team began its 2024-25 season at the 2024 Coastal Georgia Women's Fall Invitational at the King and Prince Golf Course.

The Pioneers were led by the play of Isabella Marz, who shot a +33 (177, 89-88) for 51st place. In her 36 holes, she recorded a birdie in Tuesday's final round.

Teammates Melanie Meredith carded a +52 (196, 97-99) for 56th place and Gracelyn Toler recorded a +56 (200, 96-104) for 58th place.

Marlie Smith of Southeastern (Fla.) shot a final round 68 (-4) for a seven-stroke individual victory. Southeastern (Fla.) also took the team title with a 598 (+22, 296-302).
