TAKOMA PARK, Md. – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's soccer team defeated Fisher for its second-straight win by a 2-0 margin on Sunday in a netural site matchup.
The Pioneers (9-3) found the back of the net for a pair of first half goals in the win. CJ Hawkins scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Johana Martinez in the 37th minute. Just before halftime, SMC added its second goal of the day when Caitlin Lagos scored, following a pass by CJ Hawkins in the 42nd minute.
Based on statistics available, the Pioneers had 20 shots in the contest with Camila Moscoso recording a team-best four. Kennedy Olheiser and Caroline Taylor each added three. Goalkeeper Ava Wilson made three saves for her second-straight shutout.
