Ava Wilson Named CAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Spartanburg, S.C. - Spartanburg Methodist College freshman Ava Wilson was named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Wilson recorded a pair of shutouts as the Pioneers blanked Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia) 5-0 last Tuesday and Columbia International University (South Carolina) last Thursday.

The Greenville, South Carolina, native made two saves in 80:36 of action against Abraham Baldwin before recording five saves against CIU.
