Ava Wilson Secures CAC Weekly Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spartanburg Methodist College freshman goalkeeper Ava Wilson was named the Continental Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for a second time this season on Monday. 

Wilson recorded a pair of shutouts to lead the Pioneers' defensive unit, last week. The goalkeeper had three saves in performances against fellow CAC opponents Washington Adventist University (Maryland) last Saturday and Fisher College (Massachusetts) on Sunday. The Greenville, South Carolina, native made eight saves across three matches.
