
Pioneers Earn All-Conference Recognition
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Spartanburg Methodist College women's soccer team had three players – Addie Hawkins (Travelers Rest, S.C.), C.J. Hawkins (Travelers Rest, S.C.) and Caroline Taylor (Landrum, S.C.) – named to the 2024 All-Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Second Team, announced by the league office.
Kaylee Damsen (Columbia, S.C.), Camila Moscoso (Bogota, Colombia) and Ava Wilson (Greenville, S.C.) received honorable mention recognition.
Caitlin Lagos was the Champion of Character recipient from Spartanburg Methodist College.
The team and special honors were selected in voting by league head coaches.
Addie Hawkins scored six goals and assisted on three for the Pioneers; C.J. Hawkins scored three and assisted on five and Taylor landed five in the back of the net in 2024.
The Pioneers reached the CAC Tournament, where they lost by a 1-0 margin to Talladega. SMC ended its first season of NAIA play with a 10-5-1 and a 4-2 mark in the CAC.
