Sophia Outhous Sets School Record in the 800m Run at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Sophomore Sophia Outhous set a new school record in the 800m run at the Flat is Fast Invitational to lead the Spartanburg Methodist College women's track and field team on Sunday. The Irmo, S.C. native clocked a time of 2:24.32, eclipsing the previous best time by nearly 10 seconds. For SMC, it was its second meet of the season and the first in 2025.

Also, for the SMC women, Averi Vance posted a PR time of 12:53.70 for which is the third fastest in program history.
