SMC Women's Basketball played in the prestigious Christmas tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC over the Christmas holiday. 

In front of a huge crowd, the Pioneers fell late to USC Salkehatchie, 65-61. 

Jayla Hopkins and Ta'Keria Legette lead the scoring efforts with 17 & 15 respectively. 

Even after forcing 31 turnovers and taking 13 more field goal attempts, the cold-shooting could not be overcome down the stretch. 

Next up for the Pioneers is a local home game vs Converse on Thursday, January 9 at noon. Pack your lunch and sneak over to Bridges Arena to watch a quality hoops match up in 2020.
