The Lady Pioneers take 2 losses in Tennessee

The Lady Pioneers take 2 losses in Tennessee

SMC traveled to Motlow State Community College on 9/16. Motlow got on the board first in the 25th minute of the first half. They would double the score right before halftime. Motlow would keep their foot on the gas in the second half with 3 more goals in the 64th, 75th, and 81st minute. Gwen Orr and Abby Fisher had 6 and 4 saves respectively. The Lady Pioneers had a quick turnaround when they played Wabash Valley on 9/17 at Motlow State. The first half would see back and forth action with neither team finding the back of the net. Both teams would regroup at halftime and look to break the ice. SMC could not capitalize on their chances and would give up the game winning goal to Wabash Valley in the 65th minute. Gwen Orr had 5 saves on the day. SMC moves their record to 3-3-1. They look to get back in the win column on 9/20 when Southwest Virginia CC returns to SMC to finish the game that was started on 9/12. Then the Pioneers finish out the week when they travel to Gordon State on 9/22.
