Women's Basketball defeats Chattahoochee Tech

SPARTANBURG, SC-  Playing their second game in as many nights the Lady Pioneers took control late in the first half against Chattahoochee Technical Community College and improved to 4-3 on the season with a 83-64 win. SMC led by eight points with six minutes to play in the first before going on a 12-2 and taking a 49-27 lead into the locker room behind a solid team defensive effort. 

A balanced scoring effort for the night helped the Pioneers to maintain their lead throughout the second half. Jasmine Rogers led the scoring with 14 points while Briana Hill scored 11. Aliyah Davis added nine points while Jada Martin and Chelsea Seibles each finished with eight points a piece. Catherine Gillard, Crystal Samuel and Shaniqua Brown each scored six points. 

 

The Lady Pioneers will return to the court on Saturday as they travel to East Georgia State College before returning to Bridges Arena on Sunday.
