Rain shortens Converse event, Hutto leads Pioneers

SPARTANBURG, SC., Due to heavy rain, the Converse College Fall Invitational presented by Founders Federal Credit Union was shortened to 18 holes on Tuesday. Converse College won the event with a team score of 335. Emma Lundvall of Mars Hill College won the individual title held at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, SC.  

Once again, Brooke Hutto led the Pioneers with an 87 and placed in the top-10. Sophomore Abrea Grant shot a season best 96 and a front nine score of 42.

Spartanburg Methodist returns to action this Friday through Sunday as we host the Region X Championship held at River Falls Plantation in Duncan, SC.
