Women's Golf finishes second in Region Championship

SPARTANBURG, SC., Freshman Brooke Hutto led the Pioneers with scores of 84 and 43 and her second All-Tournament team in as many events. Heather Hancock from Sandhills CC won the individual portion with scores of 84 and 37 and helped lead Sandhills to the team championship as well.

SMC finished second in the team portion ahead of Richard Bland CC. Sophomore Abrea Grant carded her best round in two years with a solid 91 in the first round.
