Men's Golf wins fall Region X Championship

SPARTANBURG, SC., Freshman Matthew Terry carded a 71 and 41 in the rain shortened Region X Championship. Terry led the field and the Pioneers to win the individual title and helped lead the Pioneers to a Region X Fall Championship.

Bryce Miley, Zachary Herold, and Brandon Hill also contributed with solid scores with Hill making the All-Tournament team.

Sandhills Community College finished second and Johnston Community College rounded out the top three teams in the eight team field. "I can't be more proud of Matthew and the other guys. We played five freshman on the A team and came out with the victory in both the individual and team format" concluded Coach Kyle Owings.
