SMC Men's Golf Gets At-large Bid to NJCAA National Championship

SPARTANBURG, SC., On Monday, the SMC golf team was given at at-large bid to the national championship. The NJCAA Nationals will be held from May 16-20 at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, FL. The Pioneers were selected because they are the highest ranked team in the country that did not advance out of districts. Five of the top ten teams in the country are in the Pioneers district. The latest national poll has the Pioneers at 21st in the country. This is the first time in over 20 years that the Pioneers have fielded a full team at nationals.
