PIKEVILLE, KY- The Lady Pioneers traveled to Pikeville, Kentucky on Saturday afternoon for a non-region matchup with the junior varsity squad from the University of Pikeville. SMC (8-10) was looking to snap a six game losing streak.
Ten Lady Pioneers chipped in on the offensive end in the 64-55 win led by Rose Robinson's (Dutch Fork High) complete game of seven points, eight assists and seven rebounds. The Pioneers got 10 points from sophomore Chelsea Seibles (Fairfield Central High) and nine points from freshman Heather Chapman (Summerville High). Jada Martin (Fairfield Central High) added eight points.
The Lady Pioneers have three games this week, on Tuesday the Pioneers will host Denmark Tech at 5:30pm in a Region X matchup. Thursday, SMC will entertain the Milligan College JV squad at 7:00pm, then travel to Denamrk Tech on Saturday.
