Lady Pioneers improve to 3-0
SPARTANBURG, SC.,
SMC Lady Pioneers improved to 3-0 with a 3-2 victory against the Converse Reserve Team at Converse College Wednesday evening. The Lady Pioneers got on the scoreboard first with a blast from Freshman Brittany Heri of Charleston, SC. Brittany's third goal of the year was the only goal of the first half.
Freshman Remi Olalere from Charleston, SC scored just two minutes into the second to give the Lady Pioneers a 2-0 lead. The goal was assisted by freshman Whitney Osborne from Lugoff, SC.
Converse scored at the 50th and 56th minute to even the score. The game went back and forth with no one scoring until Remi Olalere score from 20 yards out with just under two minutes remaining in the game.
SMC will return to the pitch on Saturday at 4:00pm as they host Wake Technical Community College in a Region X matchup.
