Women's Basketball Season Ends At Region 10 Tourney
The SMC Women's Basketball team played in the Region 10 Tournament Championship Game Saturday as the number one seed vs. Denmark Technical College, the tourney host.
SMC trailed at the half, 32-16. The Pioneers came out of the locker room and managed to score twenty eight second half points, but at the end of regulation it wasn't enough as SMC lost 44-63.
SMC finished their 2016/17 campaign with an overall record of 11-16.
Final Notables:
- SMC averaged 66.1 PPG in 2017/17
- The Pioneers had 39.7 FG% this year
- Deja Marshall led SMC in scoring with 15.4 PPG for 2016/17
- Americal Jenkins led the Pioneers in rebounding this year with 9.5 RPG
