SPARTANBURG, SC., The Lady Pioneers Soccer won their first game of the year on Wednesday afternoon to improve their record to 1-3. The ladies played USC-Lancaster at the Upward Soccer Field in Spartanburg due to the rainy weather.
Kayla McMillian from Dorman High School scored first for SMC at the 12 minute mark of the first half, the goal was assisted by Cierra Smith from Columbia, SC. USC Lancaster equalized at the 23rd minute. The game stayed tied until Smith scored with eight minutes left in the match. The goal was assisted by Hope Smith from Woodruff,SC.
SMC returns to action this Friday as they travel to Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC.
