Women's Soccer wins regular season finale

RALEIGH, NC., The Lady Pioneers won their final game of the regular season with an 8-2 win over Wake Tech CC on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pioneers end the regular season with a record of 9-7 (9-3 in Region X). 

SMC took control early scoring four goals in the first 15 minutes of the match. Sara Dorsett from Travelers Rest, SC  led the way scoring three goals at the 2^nd, 5^th and 46^th minutes, while also contributing two assists. Kayla McMillian from Spartanburg, SC added two goals in the match at the 12^th and 56^th minute mark, she also had an assist. Cierra Smith from Columbia, SC added a goal at the 12^th minute and had three assists. Khalila Hargrave from Anderson, SC scored at the 15^th minute mark assisted by Lexi Garcia from Greenville, SC. Finishing out the scoring was Karina Guardado from Duncan, SC. Cyarah Wilson also contributed an assist.

The Pioneers will take on Wake Tech in the first round of the Region X Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. Game time will be 2:00 or 4:00pm.
